I just finished a book called In Fear of Losing You by Ericka K. F. Simpson. It was about four friends, their lives and loves. Another good book was Girls Just Don't Do That by Natalie Simone. I recommend both of these books and now I'm looking for a new book to read. Any suggestions?
I've read both :-) and if you love In Fear of Losing You, you will love I Am Your Sister by Ericka. it's about a sistah's experience with religion and basketball and sexuality. Excellent novel!! I fell in love with it. For something more recent try or My Secrets Your Lies by N'Tyse. Both keep you entertained.
Hi, not sure if you were asking me about Rebecca Walker's book, or if you were asking someone else(?). In any event, I will say that Rebecca's book was thoughtful and well-written; she is a chip-off-the block, as they would say -- meaning that she has inherited her mother's gift for writing. Incidentially, after her Mom read the book, she and Rebecca have become estranged. In the book, Rebecca tells how she felt that she had to raise herself since both her mom and her dad were obsessed with their careers.
I would say that she is a bi-sexual. For years, she was in a relationship with Me'schell N'degcello (sp?) but now she is in a relationship with a man and has a 2 year old son.
